Why Local Prices Aren't the Opportunity

If you're relocating a business or team to Georgia, Puerto Rico, Mexico, or Colombia, the instinct is to buy hardware locally once you land. Priced it ourselves, live, this month: a workstation-class server (dual Xeon, 256GB RAM, professional GPU) that runs roughly $800–$1,500 wholesale in the US listed for the equivalent of over $2,000 in Mexico — a 35–150% premium we found consistent across servers and workstations in the two markets we've priced directly so far (Mexico and Georgia) — the pattern holds enough to state it plainly, and we're extending the same check to Puerto Rico and Colombia. Import-constrained markets price hardware at what it costs to get it there, not at US levels. The opportunity isn't finding a local steal — it mostly doesn't exist. It's sourcing from the deep US market at US prices and landing it correctly, customs-cleared, in the country you're actually operating in.

Our Channel Registry is public — the marketplaces, government auctions, and ITAD vendors we use are not a secret. What the fee buys is what happens after you find a listing: condition and authenticity verification before money moves, customs classification and duty exposure worked out in advance (a misclassified used-server import in Mexico or Colombia carries penalties of 100–300% of the duty owed — we carry that risk assessment, not you), cross-border logistics and payment execution on your behalf, and a single accountable counterparty instead of a foreign-language marketplace listing with no recourse.

Volume & Standing Engagements

Sourcing more than one unit — a server fleet, a recurring hardware refresh cycle — is scoped as a standing engagement with a dedicated point of contact, not repeated one-off intake forms. Contact marcus.still@nolawealthfinancial.com directly to scope volume pricing.

  1. Submit the item or brief — a specific piece, a category, or an open mandate.
  2. Engagement fee is charged at intake; sourcing begins.
  3. Candidates are identified and condition/authenticity is verified before any cost is quoted. For auction-sourced categories, this includes monitoring active lots until a matching item clears.
  4. Client approves the item cost before purchase is executed on their behalf.

Engagements above $5,000 are scoped by direct inquiry at marcus.still@nolawealthfinancial.com before any fee is charged. No item cost is charged until a candidate is verified and approved by the client.
